I've been working with clients on creating tailor-made affirmations to support their growth in therapy. Clients who use affirmations weekly or even daily are seeing results. For example, they can regulate their emotions, especially anxiety, with more ease. They also focus on what they WANT instead of highlighting what they DON'T want in their lives.
For example, instead of using an affirmation that says, "I am releasing anxiety," try saying, "I am feeling calm and relaxed." Our psyche and inner world will hear the word anxiety and focus on it. That's why this approach uses only positive language so your subconscious and conscious mind know what to highlight.
