Amy Schumer said, "I'm going to bring my mom to a soccer game because I want to show her what boundaries look like." Some of us feel comfortable saying "no" or "that doesn't work for me" but most of us struggle with how to establish and maintain healthy boundaries. After the topic of boundaries kept showing up in sessions with clients, I decided to do some research. What are boundaries, really? I began my quest by looking at the various types of boundaries. I found an article by Darlene Lancer, JD, LMFT and she was kind enough to allow me to use her article as a source for a series of maps about...you guessed it...boundaries! Thanks Darlene!
